Mission Statement
The mission of Olivet Academy is to glorify God by guiding students to the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by presenting a Christ-centered worldview through proper biblical integration. The school seeks to promote spiritual growth, pursue academic excellence, and encourage Christlike character development in order to raise global Christian leaders.
Vision Statement
Olivet Academy nurtures students to love the Lord and their neighbors and be greatly used by God to transform the world for His Kingdom (Matthew 22:37-40; Mark 12:30-31; Luke 10:27; Matthew 6:10; Luke 11:2; Matthew 28:18-20).
Accreditation
Olivet Academy is fully accredited by Association of Christian Teachers & Schools (ACTS). We are proud of this recognition from ACTS and are committed to continuing membership with them.
ACTS is a highly respected accrediting body to whom we report on an annual basis. Every six years, a group of professional educators visits our campus and thoroughly examines every aspect of our school to ensure that we are maintaining the highest of standards. ACTS Accreditation Purpose
The purpose of the Accreditation Program is to establish high, uniform standards among ACTS member schools. Achievement of accreditation status represents a standard of excellence that is recognized by other institutions and the constituency of the community in which the school is located. Accreditation requirements identify educational and spiritual criteria which establish high expectations for Christian schools. Parents seek accredited schools because they believe such schools offer a quality program. Likewise, the larger communities of business and higher education value the standard of excellence established by school accreditation.
To become accredited, a school will complete a self-study evaluation and open their school to an on-site visit by a qualified team of educators who will examine its program to determine whether it is being operated within the published guidelines of the accrediting agency. ACTS standards are similar to those of other recognized educational accrediting agencies and are designed to meet or exceed the minimum standards for accrediting associations, such as, the Regional Associations, FAANS, TEPSAC, OPSAC and NCPSA.

1. Great Commission
Matthew 28:18–20 contains what has come to be called the Great Commission: And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." This command essentially outlines what Jesus expected his faithful followers to do shortly before he ascended into heaven. Olivet Academy seeks to prepare students to be competent gospel communicators and effective leaders who will serve society in various fields such as missions, literature, art, science, math and business.

2. Growth
Olivet Academy equips students with the knowledge of God, of their fellow man, and of the world around them with a Christ-centered, biblical worldview. We seek to serve the developmental needs of the whole student and promote a balanced growth of intellect, emotion, and volition. It is our endeavor to maximize the student’s God-given potential, which cultivates the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. (Philippians 3:12, ESV) We foster a love of learning, where rigor and joy co-exist in harmony in a growth mindset as students engage living ideas, not merely the dispensation of information, and make connections with a wide and varied feast of knowledge from books and things around them.

3. Habits
Godly habits lead to godly characters. Cultivating virtuous habits such as attention, obedience, self-control, and perfect execution can be likened to laying down railroad tracks in the life of students. The students will be able to smoothly run on the tracks into their future.
Olivet Academy does not separate education from spiritual life. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18, ESV) The Holy Spirit does the sanctifying work of transforming us to be more like Jesus. We help the students seek constant access to the Holy Spirit who cares about their interests, duties, and joys of life to be more and more like Christ. By partnering together with parents, faculty and staff, Olivet Academy makes intentional efforts to train the students with good habits.

Educational Philosophy
Olivet Academy exists to train children to be future leaders and scholars for God’s Kingdom. We desire to have our children learn in an atmosphere that fosters the love of learning as well as spiritual formation and academic excellence based on biblical worldview.
We use an engaging literature-based educational model that aims to nurture children to be self-educating learners for their lifelong love of learning. The children’s knowledge is fed through interaction with a wide variety of quality educational materials that contain living and worthy ideas. The children participate in nature walks, observing and collecting natural things, visits to museums and art galleries, field trips, exposure to quality music, art, and poetry, notebooking, drawing, foreign languages, open discussions with teachers and peers, and more. The importance of habit formation, which naturally yields good character, is stressed.
We aim for excellence in teaching, resources, and pastoral care so that each child is nurtured individually to develop into confident adults who can be used greatly by God to reach out into the wider world and become knowledgeable, considerate, active members in all fields of society.

Expected Student Outcomes
Olivet Academy holds each of its students to high standards, with a school wide and cross-curriculum set of expectations and outcomes that all faculty and staff are committed to helping students achieve.
Spiritual Formation
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of the necessity of being born again by the Spirit of God by receiving Jesus Christ to gain eternal life (John 3:3; John 3:5).
- Students will know, understand, and apply God’s Word in daily life (Joshua 1:8; James 1:22).
- Students will articulate a Christ-centered biblical worldview and perspective of life based upon the narrative, major themes, and key doctrines of the Bible (2 Corinthians 10:5).
- Students will articulate and defend their faith through memorization of Scripture and apologetic skills to carry out the Great Commission in community and world (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15).
- Students will demonstrate ongoing spiritual growth in the Christian life which depends upon fellowship with God through reading the Bible, prayer, and worship (John 17:17; John 14:23; 1 John 1:3; John 4:24).
Academic Excellence
- Students will relate various subject matter areas with the truth of the Bible (Hebrew 4:12).
- Students will demonstrate competence in communication skills (Colossians 4:6; Ephesians 4:15; Philippians 1:9-11).
- Students will demonstrate the knowledge and skill required for future study or for occupational competence (Colossians 2:8; 3:23; 1 Peter 3:15).
- Students will be self-educating learners who pursue lifelong learning and delight in their growth (Proverbs 4:13; Proverbs 1:5; Proverbs 9:9).
- Students will demonstrate an appreciation of well-written literature, God’s wonder in nature, music and art (Psalm 150:6; Psalm 19:1-6).
Social Interaction
- Students will discover the value and worth of themselves and others as the ones created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13-14).
- Students will exemplify Christ-like character, leading their lives according to biblical standards of virtue and ethics in their interactions with others (Philippians 2:1-11; Romans 12:14-21; Galatians 5:13-15).
- Students will treat their bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
- Students will model godly habits and behavior in their roles in community and world (Philippians 4:8; 1 Peter 4:10).
- Students will embrace and practice justice, mercy, and peacemaking in community and world (Romans 3:26).
What We Believe
- We believe in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
- We believe in One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory.
- We believe in the Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in The Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ.
- We believe in the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
